Zhou Qi notched 37 points and 26 rebounds to help the Xinjiang Flying Tigers seal a 110-93 win by limiting the Guangzhou Loong Lions to 14 first-quarter points, while the Zhejiang Golden Bulls overcame the Shanghai Sharks 85-80 without core guard Wu Qian and three other players.

Xinjiang jumped out early, but Dallas Moore scored 13 points in the second quarter to fuel a run, limiting Guangzhou's deficit to 57-47 at the halftime break.

However, Zhou still was a problem for Guangzhou, and singlehandedly stopped the rally with back-to-back inside baskets that helped Xinjiang close out the win.

Zhejiang's offense received a major boost from guard Cheng Shuaipeng, allowing them to overtake Shanghai 49-43 in the second quarter.

Another dominant second-half defensive performance helped Zhejiang take control of the game. Lin Xiaotian capped off the surge with a layup, opening the door for Zhejiang to seize the win.

"It's tough to play without key men. Our young players kept to the game plan and it worked well," said Zhejiang coach Liu Weiwei.

Elsewhere on Thursday, seven players were in double-digits as the Shandong Heroes routed the Nanjing Monkey Kings 124-88, while the Beijing Ducks beat the Fujian Sturgeons 99-90.

The Beijing Royal Fighters will face the Qingdao Eagles on Friday, while the Liaoning Flying Leopards play against the Tianjin Pioneers.
