Premier League champions Manchester City will start the defense of their title away to the Tottenham Hotspurs on the weekend of August 14th.

The Premier League published its fixtures for the coming season on Wednesday, two months before the start of the new campaign and with Tottenham still to confirm their new first team coach following Ryan Mason's stint as caretaker in the wake of Jose Mourinho's sacking.

There are home games for all three teams promoted from the Championship, with Norwich City at home to Liverpool, while Brentford entertain Arsenal in a London derby and Watford face Aston Villa.

One of the standout ties of the round sees Manchester United take on Marcelo Bielsa's entertaining Leeds United in a game between two traditional rivals, with the side that finished second facing the Leeds side, who will be looking to build on their impressive return to the top-flight last year.

Other games in the first weekend see Burnley at home to Brighton, who are currently closing in on a club record signing of Stuttgart's Nicolas Gonzalez. Champions League winners Chelsea are at home to Crystal Palace in a south-London derby, while Everton take on Southampton.

Bruno Lage makes his debut as Wolves coach with a difficult visit to play Leicester City and West Ham United kick off their campaign with their longest trip of the season as David Moyes' men visit Newcastle United.

Other big dates in the fixture calendar see Arsenal play Chelsea on August 21, while Chelsea play Liverpool a week later and the first Manchester derby of the campaign is at Old Trafford on November 6.
