The two teams of Milan city had different fortunes in Serie A on Saturday, as Inter Milan squandered a 1-0 lead to be overturned by Lazio 3-1, while AC Milan registered a 3-2 comeback win over Hellas Verona.

Inter went into Saturday's game with an unbeaten run and put its nose ahead in the 12th minute with Ivan Perisic's penalty.

However, Lazio staged a second-half show as the Biancocelesti turned around the game with Ciro Immobile's spot-kick, Felipe Anderson's follow-up and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's header.

At San Siro, AC Milan was 2-0 down after 23 minutes, but the Rossoneri turned on the afterburners as Olivier Giroud and Franck Kessie helped the home side get back on level terms, while Verona's player Koray Gunter gifted an own goal.

AC Milan temporarily moved to the top of the table with 22 points, one point ahead of Napoli, while Inter still rank third.

Also on Saturday, Spezia beat Salernitana 2-1.
