1. Flame for 2022 Winter Games goes on public display

The torch relay lantern for the 2022 Winter Olympics is currently on show to the public at an exhibition in Beijing.

The exhibition opened on Oct. 20 at the Olympic Tower in Beijing, covering such topics as "Preparing for the Olympics," "Olympic Venues," "Olympic Beijing" and "Winter Olympics Blueprint." Visitors can not only enjoy a display of torch relays from previous Olympic Games, but also see the "flying ribbon" torch of the Beijing 2022 Games, the kindling platform, the torchbearers' uniform and the lantern itself, including the Olympic flame inside.

2. IOC Coordination Commission for Beijing 2022 held

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games held its sixth meeting with the Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee (BOCOG) via video link on Tuesday.

Cai Qi, secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and president of BOCOG, and Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr., chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission Beijing 2022, attended the meeting and spoke on the final preparations for the Games.

3. China to enhance border management

China's National Immigration Administration (NIA) will strengthen COVID-19 prevention measures for passengers entering and leaving the country on account of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Immigration authorities were asked to set up special areas for checks on personnel relevant to the Winter Olympics at entry and exit points and implement strict anti-epidemic measures.
