Pre-Games Sustainability Report released

A Pre-Games Sustainability Report was released by the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (BOCOG) at a press conference on Thursday, elaborating on the green and sustainable development principles during the preparation for the Games.

Li Sen, director-general of BOCOG's General Planning Department, said holding a green Olympic Games is a common aspiration. The report summarizes the efforts to pursue sustainability, improve the local environment, and accelerate economic development.

Closed-loop system operating smoothly

The trial run of the Beijing 2022 Games-time closed-loop system launched on Jan. 4 is operating smoothly. So far, nearly 1,500 journalists and broadcasters from all over the world have arrived in Beijing, organizers said on Tuesday.

Special team to deal with Olympic-related traffic accidents

Beijing Winter Olympics organizers have set up a special dispatch team to deal with traffic accidents involving Olympic vehicles, organizers said on Tuesday.

Huang Chun, deputy director of the pandemic prevention and control office of the BOCOG, said on Tuesday that the organizers had established a complete command and control system, as well as a rescue mechanism.
