Snowboarder Su leads into slopestyle final at Beijing 2022

Chinese teenage sensation Su Yiming led the field to qualify for the men's snowboard slopestyle final at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on Sunday.

Su, 17, nailed the final spot in his first run to collect 86.80 points. Canadian double Olympic medalist Mark McMorris placed second in 83.30 among 12 qualifiers. Sean Fitzsimons of the U.S. came third in the qualification.

World Cup Big Air winner Su, the first rider ever to land an 1800 both ways in a FIS competition, will launch his victory charge on Monday.
