Cherif Ndiaye joined up with Shanghai Port on Monday after serving out his mandatory two-week quarantine, the Chinese Super League club said.
"The forward Ndiaye joined the team training after completing his quarantine today," the club said in a statement on Monday.
Ndiaye's arrival will be a boost to Shanghai, who lost 1-0 to Wuhan Yangtze River in their opening game of the season last Saturday.
The 26-year-old Senegalese striker, who Shanghai Port signed from Turkish side Goztepe before the season started, arrived in late May in China's northeastern city of Dalian, where Shanghai are playing their first few fixtures this season.
