Nyasha Mushekwi scored against his former club as Zhejiang FC beat Dalian Pro 2-0 in the ninth round of the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Chen Pu netted the winner in Shandong Taishan's 2-1 victory over Changchun Yatai.

Mushekwi broke the deadlock in the 25th minute after slotting home Franko Andrijasevic's pass, and refused to celebrate his goal against the side where he played from 2015 to 2019.

Yan Xiangchuang had the ball in the net for Dalian Pro before the break, but his effort was ruled offside.

In the 50th minute, Wang Xianjun of Dalian Pro turned Cheng Jin's cross into his own net to make it 2-0 to Zhejiang.

Sun Guowen of Dalian and Gu Bin of Zhejiang were both shown red cards 23 minutes later.

Elsewhere, Cryzan Barcelos put defending champions Shandong Taishan ahead against Changchun Yatai after heading home Liu Binbin's cross. Brazilian striker Junior equalized four minutes later with a powerful shot.

Substitute Chen put Shandong ahead again in the 87th minute with a close-range shot after Changchun failed to clear the ball in the box.

On Thursday, third-placed Henan Songshan Longmen face Guangzhou City, and Shanghai Shenhua take on Hebei FC.

The Chinese Football Association announced on Wednesday that the CSL will resume home and away games when the season's second phase starts in early August.
