FC Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday that they have reached the principal of an agreement to sign Brazilian international winger Raphinha from Leeds United.

"FC Barcelona and Leeds United Football Club have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Raphael Dias Belloli, Raphinha, pending the player passing his medical," informed Barca on social media.

The 25-year-old is expected to cost Barcelona an initial 58 million euros, with a further seven million in add-ons and will sign a five-year-deal until the end of June 2027.

The Brazilian becomes Barca's third arrival of the summer after defender Andreas Christensen and midfielder Franck Kessie joined on free transfers from Chelsea and AC Milan respectively.

Raphinha joins Barcelona after spells with Vitoria Guimaraes and Sporting CP in Portugal, Stade de Reims in France and two seasons in the Premier League with Leeds United, where he scored 17 goals in 65 league appearances.

Wednesday also saw winger Ousmane Dembele train again with Barcelona after his contract had expired at the end of June, with the French international set to pen a new two-year deal in the coming hours.
