China dominates women's singles at WTT Champions

Wang Manyu and Wang Yidi notched up victories against fellow Chinese teammates in the women's singles semifinals of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions in Budapest on Friday.

Wang Manyu, who came from two games down, narrowly defeated top seed Chen Meng 4-3, while Wang Yidi ousted Sun Yingsha with the same score. Wang Yidi beat Sun to win the WTT Star Contender championship last week.

In the men's singles semifinals, China's Lin Gaoyuan swept past Chuang Chih-Yuan of Chinese Taipei 4-0, while Japan's Tomokazu Harimoto narrowly beat Germany's Patrick Franziska 4-3.
