Beijing plans E-sports Beijing 2022 event series

Beijing announced Thursday that the city will host the E-sports Beijing 2022 event series, as part of its efforts to nurture new business models and types of cultural industry, and promote the high-quality development of the industry.
The event series will include an International E-sports Innovation Conference, which will be hosted by the State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center of Beijing Municipality. An annual report on Beijing's e-sports industry will be released at the conference. The meeting will also discuss latest development and prospect of the e-sports industry and introduce major parks and projects related to e-sports.
In addition, multiple e-sports tournaments, such as a VR e-sports competition, will be held during E-sports Beijing 2022, with both online and offline activities. The city also plans to host a series of the world's top e-sports tournaments.
