Henan Songshan Longmen trashed Beijing Guoan 3-0 at home, while Cangzhou Mighty Tigers beat Guangzhou FC 2-0 in the 11th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.
Returning to their home stadium after 980 days, Henan broke the deadlock in the eighth minute in front of thousands of home fans, when Henrique Dourado netted from Huang Zichang's flick-on.
In the 40th minute, Dourado's precise pass found Zhong Yihao, who cut into the penalty area to send the ball into the top corner, extending the lead to 2-0.
The Beijing side pressed hard in the second half and tried to pull the game back, but Henan striker Fernando Karanga sealed the victory with a fast break in stoppage time.
Henan now ranks third in the CSL with 26 points, five points behind Wuhan Three Towns and one point away from Shandong Taishan.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Yang Yiming and Liu Xinyu scored in the second half for Cangzhou Mighty Tigers, who beat Guangzhou FC 2-0 to end a nine-game winless run, while Meizhou Hakka beat Wuhan Yangtze River 2-1 at home.
