The 2022 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Swimming Open Tournament and the Beijing All-people Swimming Competition concluded at the National Aquatics Center on Aug. 21. With more than 1,300 athletes participating, the two-day event attracted nearly 20,000 spectators over the past weekend.

The event marked the first water sports competition hosted by the dual-Olympic venue since the 2022 Winter Games.

Based on its expertise hosting Olympic events, the venue worked closely with relevant organizing bodies on epidemic prevention and supporting services, and delivered a safe, comfortable and orderly competition for the athletes, sponsors and spectators.

The venue's organizing efforts and state-of-the-art swimming facilities were applauded by both athletes and staff members of the Beijing Swimming Association, one of the event's organizers.

In addition to the competition, tours of the venue, as well as its business facilities and water and ice sporting services are also open to the public and running smoothly, as a way of honoring the commitment to sustainability in the post-Beijing Winter Olympics era.
