Point guard Xu Jie will replace injured Guo Ailun as China's national men's basketball team readjusted Sunday its squad for the fourth window of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers.

The team revealed that Guo will be absent from Monday's match against Bahrain after suffering a thigh strain, and that Xu will take his place.

The 12 players after the roster readjustment are Zhou Qi, Wang Zhelin, Xu Jie, Zhao Jiwei, Sun Minghui, Hu Mingxuan, Shen Zijie, Gu Quan, Zhu Junlong, Lu Wenbo, Jiang Weize and Zhu Mingzhen.

After defeating Kazakhstan 68-56 on Thursday, China sits third in the six-team Group F with five wins and two losses.

The top three teams within the group will qualify for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup along with the Philippines and Japan, hosts of the global basketball showpiece.
