Erling Haaland remains unstoppable after scoring his third consecutive hat-trick at home in the Premier League as Manchester City beat neighbors Manchester United 6-3 in the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Phil Foden also scored three goals for City, while two goals from Anthony Martial put some gloss on the score for the visitors.

City tore into United from the start with Foden sweeping Bernardo Silva's cross home at the near post.

Haaland scored a towering header from a corner in the 34th minute to double the advantage, and netted his second with a smart far-post finish three minutes later.

Foden's second of the game finished off a sweeping move in the 44th minute to make it 4-0, and although Antony pulled a goal back for United in the 56th minute, Haaland completed his hat-trick shortly afterwards.

Foden made it 6-1 in the 72nd minute and although Martial scored in the 84th and 91st minutes, by then the game was well of sight for United.

Leeds United held on for almost all the second half for a 0-0 at home to Aston Villa after Luis Sinsterra was sent off for two yellow cards in the 49th minute.

Previous meetings between the two teams had been bad-tempered affairs and this was no different, with Philippe Coutinho's shot against the post the closest to a goal.

On Saturday, Arsenal showed they are serious title candidates this season with a 3-1 win over Tottenham at home.

After Harry Kane's penalty canceled out Thomas Partey's opener for Arsenal in the first half, the Gunners dominated after the break, with Gabriel Jesus putting them back in front and Granit Xhaka sealing the win after Spurs' right back Emerson Royal had been sent off for a bad challenge.

Roberto De Zerbi had a rollercoaster first match in charge of Brighton as Leandro Trossard's hat-trick earned a 3-3 draw away to Liverpool.

Brighton started magnificently and led 2-0 after 17 minutes, with Liverpool's defense all over the place.

Goals from Roberto Firmino either side of half-time made it 2-2, before an own goal from Adam Webster after an error from Roberto Sanchez put Liverpool ahead, only for Trossard's third of the game to ensure a share of the points.

Conor Gallagher's 90th-minute winner gave Graham Potter a win in his first league game in charge at Chelsea as they won 2-1 away to Crystal Palace, where Gallagher spent last season on loan.

Odsonne Edouard put Palace ahead after just seven minutes, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leveled in the 38th minute.

Newcastle had an easy 4-1 win away to Fulham, with their job made much easier after Fulham's Nathaniel Chalobah was sent off after just nine minutes.

Callum Wilson put Newcastle ahead just two minutes later, and the visitors had few problems afterwards, with Miguel Almiron scoring twice and Sean Longstaff also on the scoresheet before Bobby Decordova-Reid headed home a consolation for Fulham.

Two goals in two minutes from Conor Coady and Dwight McNeil saw Everton come back to win 2-1 at Southampton, while Bournemouth and Brentford drew 0-0 in a result that means Bournemouth are unbeaten in four games since sacking Scott Parker.

West Ham moved out of the bottom three after goals from Gianluca Scamacca on 29 minutes and Jarrod Bowen in the 54th gave them a 2-0 home win to Wolves, who subsequently sacked coach Bruno Lage.
