Beijing has recently demonstrated the benefits the 2022 Winter Olympics have brought to the city's residents at an exhibition themed with "Forging Ahead in the New Era."

Committed to hosting a green, inclusive, open, and clean Winter Olympic Games, Beijing made full use of its summer Olympic venues, transforming them to suit the winter games. Among them, National Aquatics Center, the largest curling venue in the history of Winter Olympics, is the world's only venue able to host both aquatic and ice sports events.

New venues for the winter games were built with technologies that led the nation and the world. These technologies helped to renovate the National Speed Skating Oval from a swimming venue, and the ice created for the venue has been hailed as the "fastest ice" after witnessing a world record and 10 winter Olympic records during the games.

The dual Olympic city has hosted eight Happy Beijing Ice and Snow Season events from 2015 to 2022, which included more than 20,000 activities participated by more than 30 million people. From 2015 to 2021, the number of ice stadiums jumped from 42 to 112, and the number of ski resorts increased from 22 to 35.

Shougang Industrial Park, a venue for the Winter Olympic Games, has been transformed into a multifunctional services zone and a popular sightseeing spot. The city has also built parks featuring Olympic elements, such as the Olympic Forest Park and the Winter Olympic Park.

Beijing has cultivated young people's enthusiasm for the Olympics. By the end of 2021, 200 schools in Beijing had been assessed as exemplars in raising the Olympic awareness of students.
