Zhejiang crush Shenzhen for 7th straight win

The Zhejiang Golden Bulls crushed the Shenzhen Aviators 113-81 for a clean sheet of seven wins, while the Fujian Sturgeons suffered sixth straight loss of 119-94 to the Shanxi Loongs in the seventh round of the 2022-2023 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Monday.

Zhejiang started off strong to lead the first half 61-45, and had a 14-2 run in the third quarter, leaving no chance for Shenzhen to catch up in the remaining minutes.

Cheng Shuaipeng scored 19 points and dished four assists to lead Zhejiang's six double-digit scoring players. Jared Sullinger had a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds in his 22 minutes on court for Shenzhen, Shen Zijie and Zhou Peng added 14 and 12 points respectively.

In another game on Monday, Fujian had an 11-0 scoring streak in the opening minutes, before Shanxi answered with a 7-0 run led by Kay Felder and Chang Lin. The match seesawed thereafter and Shanxi led the first quarter 24-20, and the first half at 53-49.

Then Zhang Ning and Clarence Weems powered a 10-0 run to lead 79-66 into the last quarter, inflicting on Fujian its sixth loss out of seven games.
