The Zhejiang Golden Bulls won 10 matches off the reel after smashing the Fujian Sturgeons 104-78, while the Xinjiang Flying Tigers cruised past the Guangzhou Loong Lions 108-96 in the 10th round of the 2022-2023 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday.

Winning all nine matches in the first phase, the Golden Bulls started the second phase of the regular season with another dominant victory. Their shooting guard Jarmar Gulley led the box score with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while point guard and captain Wu Qian scored 16 and dished 11 assists.

The Golden Bulls finished the first quarter with a 12 points lead but saw that cut to five points at half-time, and the team's head coach Wang Shilong attributed it to loose defense on Fujian's shooters. "We knew they have a lot of sharpshooters behind the arc, but we didn't guard them well. I talked about that in the locker room, and we got better defense in the next two quarters."

The Golden Bulls had a 32-14 third quarter and never looked back in the convincing victory to keep their winning record.

Fujian, on the other hand, encountered a nine-game losing streak with the newly-signed former NBA player Sean Kilpatrick being a disappointment on the court. Kilpatrick, in his 12-minute appearance, missed all six shots and only grabbed one rebound, but committed seven turnovers. Li Yiyang led the team with 19 points and 13 assists, while Thon Maker added 14.

Despite losing the game, Fujian's head coach praised his players' efforts. "My players did execute the tactics I set before the game, but there are a lot of things we can't improve quickly. We should get ready for the next game."

In another game, Xinjiang beat Guangzhou 108-96. Chris Clemons scored 34 points for Xinjiang, and Tacko Fall added 13 points and eight rebounds. On the Guangzhou side, Nathaniel Mason pocketed a game-high 35 points, while Zhu Mingzhen added 12.
