Things appear as easy as ever when Youssoufa Moukoko is having fun on the training pitches. Nothing in Marbella is indicating that one of football's courted commodities is ahead of a trend-setting decision after six years in the shirt of Borussia Dortmund.

While the youngster is enjoying jokes with his teammates in Borussia Dortmund's winter break training camp in Southern Spain, the list of top European sides wanting to sign the striker seems to grow by the minute.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle are said to be involved in a bidding battle coming along with constantly changing borders.

Having turned 18 last November allows the Cameroon-rooted German international to not only autonomously decide about his future but to sign contracts himself.

What makes sense to secure a promising career seems to have disappeared into the background considering the reported offers, of which some might appear immoral.

Well-equipped Newcastle is said to offer a signing fee of 30 million aside from a yearly salary of up to nine million.

The race is joined by Moukoko's present club, the Black and Yellows. The 2012 German champion so far failed to convince the forward to stay and accept a three-million salary offer aside from a signing fee worth ten million.

The club's managing director Sebastian Kehl is increasing efforts to get to a solution by the end of next week as Moukoko's agent Patrick Williams arrived in Spain.

Dortmund claims to have triggered suitable development steps over the past years as the attacker made his way into the German national team.

The record-setting achievements couldn't be longer as Moukoko became the youngest in Dortmund's shirt to play in the national league and the Champions League aside from being the youngest German to play a World Cup.

The involved parties are not short of advice provided by several former players recommending staying for some years and postponing a change as Dortmund more than its competitors can guarantee valuable playing minutes.

Former Dortmund defender and 1990 world champion Jurgen Kohler said Moukoko might be talented but needs more time to get to a world-class level. "At present, he is not good enough for the top sides," Kohler stated.

On top, the Germans remind the striker and his entourage of the close relationship with coach Edin Terzic after Moukoko made his first-tier debut in November 2020 at an age of only 16.

Terzic is said to have told the attacker, not to only be Dortmund's coach but his personal one. "His advice helped me a lot," the youngster stated.

Meanwhile, agent Williams outlined the conditions for a signature in Dortmund including a pay rise. Things now will have to be discussed the involved parties say while Dortmund's director Kehl announced the club has its borders.

Until a decision is made, poker games continue backstage.
