Beijing Expo Park will renovate and build facilities for outdoor sports, air sports, water sports, and cycling to become a versatile sports park.

The former Winter Paralympic Games award venue has already installed timing gates at the start and finish of its running track, large screens for running performance data, and smart AI markers along the track.

Construction is underway for an open water sports center for kayaks, paddleboards, and non-motorized boats. A fishing base will also be built so that people can go fishing in summer and ice skate and take ice wagons in winter.

The expo park has received air space approval for various air sports activities, and its planned air sports center will have runways, parking aprons, and management offices. A parking lot will be renovated to suit air sports activities.

The park is also planning to transform an exhibition pavilion into a stadium for ball games, dancing, yoga, archery, fencing, and indoor climbing, and construct sports fields and courts in outdoor areas.

It will also build smart greenways and cycling facilities, looking to turn itself into the largest cycling park in Asia.
