Xinjiang edges Nanjing, Beijing beats Guangzhou

The Xinjiang Flying Tigers defeated the Nanjing Monkey Kings 108-101, while the Beijing Ducks eased past the Guangzhou Loong Lions 101-87 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday.

Six Xinjiang players scored in double digits as Qi Lin had a team-high 23 points. Tacko Fall finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks.

Xinjiang led 71-63 midway through the third quarter, while Lin Wei hit a pair of 3-pointers to level the game 76-76 with one minute left to play.

Christopher Clemons scored three baskets over four possessions to give Xinjiang a 12-point lead in the fourth, which Nanjing never recovered from.

Lin pocketed a game-high 29 points through seven 3-pointers for Nanjing, who missed out on the playoffs after Saturday's loss.

Veteran Zhai Xiaochuan shone in Beijing's second straight victory. The 30-year-old forward had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

Beijing took a 75-67 lead after three quarters. Guangzhou cut the deficit to six points with 2:20 left, before Zhai scored eight points to secure Beijing's victory.
