Desafio China, or the Cycling Challenge Competition, based on the Vuelta a España, will take place in Beijing's Changping district from June 17 to 18, marking the first time that the Spanish cycling race has been introduced to China, according to a press conference on Thursday.

The competition will include individual and team time trials, family recreational riding, and road races to cater to riders of all levels.

The events for amateur groups, including individual and team time trials and family recreational riding, will be held on June 17. The individual and team time trials will consist of a 5-kilometer course with a total of five laps, covering a distance of 26.2 kilometers. The family recreational riding event will also be a 5-kilometer course, and riders will have one hour to complete the course.

The starting and finishing points will be located at the Sports Center of the Beijing Future Science Park in Changping district, with the course running along East Road of Future Science Park, Yingcai North Second Street, Future Science Park Road, and Future Science Park Avenue.

The competition is currently open for registration, and people can find more information about the event and register on the competition's official website, as well as through its WeChat and Weibo platforms.
