Jarmar Gulley scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lift the Zhejiang Golden Bulls to a 114-91 home win over the Guangzhou Loong Lions in Game 1 of the best-of-three quarterfinals of CBA playoffs on Monday.

Wu Qian added 28 points and nine assists for Zhejiang, while Nate Mason scored 23 points for Guangzhou.

Zhejiang took a 56-50 lead into the second half, before Gulley scored eight straight points to widen the gap to double digits. Leading 84-70 into the last quarter, Zhejiang still kept the upper hand and eased to the victory.

Off the court, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) disqualified the Shanghai Sharks and the Jiangsu Dragons from the 2022-2023 CBA season earlier on Monday, after the two clubs were found to be "intentionally passive playing" during their CBA playoff games on April 11 and April 14.

As a result, the CBA ruled that the Shenzhen Aviators, who were scheduled to face Shanghai in the quarterfinals, would advance to the semifinals of the CBA playoffs directly.
