Shanghai seized the lead in the 18th minute when Cao Yunding set up Cephas Malele for a goal, maintaining that margin until halftime.

Robert Beric equalized in the 63rd minute, and a dramatic 83rd-minute own goal by Shanghai goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong shifted the game's momentum.

In another rain-soaked encounter, the match between Nantong Zhiyun and Meizhou Hakka culminated in a 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere, Dalian Pro and Qingdao Hainiu shared a 1-1 draw, while Cangzhou Mighty Lions managed to outpace Zhejiang FC 2-1.
