Chinese shuttlers secured the final berths in both mixed doubles and women's doubles at South Korea Open 2023 in Yeosu, South Korea, on Saturday.

China's mixed doubles pair Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin, who shocked the world No. 1 compatriots Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong in the quarterfinals, ousted Japan's Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino 21-12, 20-22, 21-12 in the semifinals.

Jiang and Wei will vie against compatriots Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping, who sailed past Thai duo Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-18, 21-14, in the final on Sunday at Jinnam Stadium.

In the women's doubles, Olympic silver medalists Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan got past compatriots Zhang Shuxian and Zheng Yu 21-12, 21-12 in just 35 minutes. Their contenders in the final will be South Korean duo Kim So-yeong and Kong Hee-yong.

In the women's singles, reigning Olympic champion Chen Yufei failed to reach the final, losing to the second-seeded An Se-young of South Korea 15-21, 21-8, 24-22 in a grueling match lasting one hour and 18 minutes.

Chinese men's singles shuttler Shi Yuqi was outpaced by Anders Antonsen of Demark in straight sets.
