Ajax and West Ham United announced the transfer of Ghanian international Mohammed Kudus to the Premier League club on Sunday.
Both clubs agreed on a transfer fee of 43 million euros, which can increase to 46 million euros including bonuses.
The attacking midfielder signed a contract for five seasons at West Ham, which is currently second in the Premier League.
Kudus had been transferred from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland to Ajax in 2020. He scored 27 goals in 87 official matches for Ajax, capturing the Dutch league title in 2021 and 2022 and the Dutch Cup in 2021.
He made a hat-trick in his last match for Ajax last Thursday against Ludogorets (4-1 win) in the play-offs of the Europa League.
At the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Kudus started all three group games for Ghana, scoring twice in the 3-2 victory over South Korea.
Kudus is West Ham's fourth major summer signing following his former Ajax teammate and Mexico international Edson Alvarez, Greece defender Dinos Mavropanos and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
