Roma unleashed their pent-up frustration to register their first win of the new season by decimating Empoli 7-0 on Sunday with new signings Renato Sanches and Romelu Lukaku both marking their debuts with goals.

The Giallorossi had a rocky start to the season, securing only one point from three matches.
The home team set the tone early. Paulo Dybala's penalty gave Roma the lead just two minutes into the match. Six minutes later, Sanches' diving header doubled their advantage, and Bryan Cristante's pressure led to an own goal by the opposition.
Roma's dominance persisted in the second half. Dybala's intricate footwork culminated in a signature left-footed curler 10 minutes post-interval. Cristante then unleashed a long-range strike, Lukaku found the net unchallenged, and Gianluca Mancini's header sealed the emphatic win.
In other Sunday fixtures, Sassuolo took a two-goal lead thanks to Andrea Pinamonti's double. However, they squandered their advantage as newly-promoted Frosinone rallied to win 4-2, with Luca Mazzitelli also netting twice.
In additional matches, Fiorentina staged a comeback to edge Atalanta 3-2, Monza drew 1-1 with Lecce, and Cagliari played a goalless draw against Udinese.
