Chinese divers Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi triumphed in the women's synchronised 10m platform final, achieving a score of 375.30 points, a significant 85.26 points ahead of the second-place Japanese team. Malaysia claimed the bronze medal with a score of 266.94.

The final saw five pairs of competitors vying for victory. China's formidable duo, 18-year-old Quan and 16-year-old Chen, maintained their lead throughout the five rounds of competition.

This medal marks the first gold for China's divers at this edition of the Asian Games and continues China's winning streak in the sport, marking six consecutive victories at the Asian Games.

Although dominating the competition, Chen emphasized that securing titles and medals is not a mere formality for China.

"The outside world may think that China is leaving its competitors trailing behind in diving, but it's only by training and struggling on a daily basis that we can achieve these results. It's really not that easy," she stated.

Since teaming up, the pair have won every women's synchronised 10m platform competition they've entered, including the World Aquatics World Cup and the World Aquatics Championships.
