Xinjiang started strongly en route to a 10-point lead after the first quarter, before expanding their advantage in the second while Qingdao failed to find their tempo and were outscored by another 10 points down the stretch.

Qi Lin nailed his sixth three-pointer of the game late in the third quarter as Xinjiang went ahead 86-61 into the last period. Qingdao tried to get back into the game in the final minutes, but Qi added another pair of three-pointers to put the game to bed.

Qi connected on eight of nine shots beyond the arc for a game-high 28 points.

Despite the win, Xinjiang coach Qiu Biao was not satisfied with his side's performance. "We lost our concentration on the game during the fourth quarter," he said.

In the day's other game, Zhejiang came out of the gates with a 15-point lead over Ningbo as the first quarter ran out. The visitors tried to narrow the gap as the game progressed, but found their efforts in vain.

Zhejiang snapped a two-game losing streak and split their win-loss record in the first four games. Cheng Shuaipeng led five Zhejiang players in double figures with 19 points.
