As one of the budding young talents of Chinese men's basketball, 18-year-old Yang Hansen has captured attention both domestically and internationally.

Yang caught the eye at this year's FIBA U-19 Basketball World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary, where he averaged 12.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 5.0 blocks. Despite China's 10th-place finish, he also led the tournament in blocks and was named on the All-Second Team.

Yang, who developed in Qingdao's youth ranks, showed his nimble footwork, court vision, and ability to protect the rim. Standing 2.18 meters tall, Yang has been touted as the Chinese version of two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
