A curling challenge match was held at the National Aquatics Center in Beijing on Dec. 30, 2023, bringing together professionals and beginners for an exciting exchange session at the dual-Olympic venue's ice sports arena.

During the match, student athletes from Beijing Sport University teamed up with local primary and middle school students to help them improve their curling skills and tactics. In addition, students without any prior experience in curling also had the opportunity to try their hand at the sport.

As a part of the culture promotion series of the 14th Beijing Olympic City Sports and Cultural Festival, the match aimed to immerse youngsters in Beijing's dual-Olympic atmosphere and also contribute to the development of potential curling talents.

As one of the legacies of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the venue's underground Ice Sports Center will continue to evolve as a World Curling Academy training center and host a variety of experience events, in a bid to further promote the sport among the public.
