More than 10 Russian figure skaters, most of whom are former world champions, provided a visual feast for Chinese sports fans during the two-day tour performance held at the Capital Indoor Stadium in downtown Beijing on Saturday and Sunday.

Titled Ice Legend: World Champion Show 2024, the event has invited former sports stars such as Alina Zagitova, the 2018 Olympic champion; Evgenia Medvedeva, a two-time gold medalist at the World Figure Skating Championships; and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, the 2015 World champion.

Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, the pair skaters who won the silver medal in pair figure skating at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, expressed that they still miss the warmth of the Chinese capital, even though the Olympic Games ended two years ago, during an interview with local journalists after the performance on Saturday.

Pair skaters who provided a stunning performance at the venue also included Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, the pair winners of silver in the ice-dancing event at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Katsalapov said that they had visited China multiple times before and expressed their love for this hospitable country. "We love China so much. We love the people here. We have our skating fans and friends in this country, and we also enjoy Chinese food. We feel at home," he added.

The event was organized by Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Group Co Ltd and two of its subsidiaries, the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Industry Group and Chuangju Ice Show Sports Company.
