Brazilian forward Thiago Andrade has joined Shenzhen Peng City on loan from New York City FC, the Shenzhen club announced on Thursday, just one day before the Chinese Super League (CSL) 2024 campaign kicks off.

The 23-year-old left-winger is expected to be unveiled in his team's first game of the season against Zhejiang FC at home on Sunday.

He will wear number seven jersey this season, the Shenzhen club said.

The Shenzhen side also announced on Thursday that it has signed Serbian defender Rade Dugalic.

Shenzhen Peng City, known as Sichuan Jiuniu that won promotion to the top flight last season, moved to Shenzhen and renamed itself earlier this month.

The 2024 CSL opener will be played between Shandong Taishan and Changchun Yatai in Jinan, Shandong on Friday.
