The 2024 Beijing Junior Diving Championship was held at the National Aquatics Center in Beijing on May 4 and 5. Nearly 100 young divers from six districts across the city showcased their skills and talents during the two-day event.
Co-organized by the Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Municipal Education Commission, the competition was comprised of three division for boys and girls, respectively, with each division covering both springboard and platform diving events at different heights.
Besides showcasing the students' talents, the competition also served as a platform for skill development with participants receiving guidance and feedback from experienced coaches and senior referees.
As a dual-Olympic venue, the National Aquatics Center, also known as either the Water Cube or the Ice Cube, has played a pivotal role in popularizing sports among the general public. The venue also strives to continue utilizing its unique advantages in sustainable venue management and contribute further to the country's sports industry.
