Members of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) swimming team visited the National Aquatics Center in Beijing on July 2, immersing themselves in its Olympic culture.
The team explored an exhibition highlighting the collaborative construction of this Olympic venue by Chinese people from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas. The exhibit also showcased the center's post-Beijing 2022 operations and its efforts to promote winter sports.
The athletes also admired the center's atmosphere and facilities in its Olympic competition hall, where they participated in swimming activities.
The Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, which organized the visit, praised the center for its corporate social responsibility and dedication to educational initiatives. In a letter, the chamber highlighted how the event enhanced cultural exchange between Beijing and Hong Kong, fostering mutual understanding.
The National Aquatics Center reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging Beijing's Olympic legacy, fulfilling corporate social responsibilities, and strengthening connections with overseas Chinese communities. Officials said the venue will remain a hub for community outreach and support for overseas Chinese.
