The father of FC Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a car park, according to reports in Spain.
Mounir Nasraoui received "more than one stab wound" in a car park in the town of Mataro, to the north of Barcelona, where he currently resides.
He was taken to the Can Ruti hospital in Badalona, which is just outside of Barcelona, in a "serious" condition.
According to the 'La Vanguardia' newspaper, the Catalan regional police force 'Mossos d'Esquadra' are investigating the attack on the father of Barcelona's star player, who was one of the stars of the recent European Championships, and have found several witnesses to the incident.
There are still very few details about the attack, which happened just three days before Laime Yamal is expected to lead the Barca attack in their first LaLiga game of the season, away to Valencia on Saturday night.
