Chinese veteran Li Na has scored a comeback victory over Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova to advance into the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open.

Li rebounded after being down in the first set to beat fifth-seeded Hantuchova 4-6, 7-5 and 6-1.

She now moves to take on second-seeded Russian Nadia Petrova, who has ousted Greek qualifier Eleni Daniilidou 6-1, 6-2.

In other matches, top-seeded Amelie Mauresmo has upset fellow Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli 6-0, 6-2, while Swiss comeback queen Martina Hingis dispatched third-seeded Italian Francesca Schiavone 6-1, 6-2.

Japanese Ai Sugiyama has outplayed fourth-seeded Russian Anastasia Myskina 7-6 (7-2), 6-7 (6-8), 6-4.
