Soccer: Beijing, Munich 1860 Feud over Loan Payments
Adjust font size:

Beijing Guo'an is suing German second division club TSV 1860 Munich for 600,000 euros (US$766,142) in a dispute over loan payments for Chinese midfielder Shao Jiayi, it was reported Monday.

Shao, 26, was loaned to TSV 1860 Munich by the Chinese Super League club in 2003, but state media reported last August that the German club had failed to make a scheduled payments on the four-year deal.

Shao said he had completed his contract with Munich 1860 and hoped the dispute could be settled so he could move on, possibly to newly-promoted Bundesliga club Energie Cottbus.
