Olympic champion China have lost to Brazil 3-2 in the final match at the international women's volleyball tournament in Switzerland.

China squandered a 2-1 lead to lose the match 25-12, 17-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12.

The match on Monday morning (Beijing Time) was a repeat of last year's final in which Brazil defeated China 3-2 after losing the first two set.

Defending champion Brazil controlled the first set with their high flying attack and strong serving to take it 25-12.

The Chinese spikers pay them back by winning the second set 25-17.

China saw hopes to win the revenge battle as they continued to take the third set 22-17.

The Brazilians, however, came back vigorously and reclaimed the title by winning the last two sets 25-21, 15-12.
