Adjust font size:

World number one Lin Dan of China has exacted revenge for his defeat in the Malaysian Open, downing Lee Chong Wei to win the Chinese Taipei Open badminton tournament.

Top seed Lin Dan didn't allow any room for a comeback from second seeded Lee Chong Wei late in the match as he secured a 21-18, 12-21, and 21-11 win in the final.

This is Lin Dan's second title of the year, after winning the All-England in January.

In the women's competition, world top shuttler Zhang Ning triumphed over teammate Xie Xingfang 21-15, 21-15 in an all-Chinese final.

And top Chinese pair Fu Haifeng and Cai Yun added a third title for China in the men's doubles event.

South Korean duo Lee Kyung Won and Lee Hyo Jung beat China's Gao Ling and Huang Sui 21-18, 9-21, and 21-17 to win the women's doubles trophy.

The mixed doubles crown went to Nova Widianto and Lilyana Natsir of Indonesia.
