Zhou Wins 50m Backstroke in U17 World Cup

Chinese swimmer Zhou Yanxin won the women's 50 meters backstroke title at the under-17 World Cup, which ended on Sunday in Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro, local media said.

Zhou finished first in 20:49 seconds, a long way head of second placed Emily Thomas of New Zealand, who had a time of 29:58. Germany's Christin Zenner took bronze with a time of 29:61.
