Second-seeded Tian Jia and Wang Jie of China rebounded from their semifinal setback to score a 21-15, 21-14 victory in the bronze-medal match of SWATCH-FIVB Women's Beach Volleyball World Tour Porto Open.

It took them 36 minutes to win over 22nd-seeded Helke Claasen and Antje Roder of Germany.

The Chinese pair lost to Renata Ribeiro and Talita Antunes of Brazil in the semis.

However, the fifth-seeded Ribeiro and Antunes were unable to stop Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca from winning their sixth FIVB World title this season in an all-Brazilian final.

Another Chinese pair, Zhang Xi and Xue Chen, finished ninth in the tournament.
