China, North Korea Sign Agreement on Sport Exchange

China and North Korea on Thursday signed an agreement to enhance the exchange and cooperation on sports field in Pongyang.

The agreement was signed between General Administration of Sport of China and Sport Directing Committee of North Korea.

More than 500 athletes from two countries will participate in 42 exchange events in 2007, according to the agreement.

The exchange agreement will promote mutual understanding and cooperation between sports field of two countries, said Xiao Tian, deputy director of General Administration of Sport of China.
