In Tibetan, Siling Co means "devil lake." Siling Co is the second largest lake in Tibet Autonomous Region and the third largest salt lake in China. It covers 1,640 square kilometers at an elevation of 4,530 meters above sea level. The lake is part of a national nature reserve for black-necked crane. The prairie on the banks of the lake is vast and traditionally used as grazing land.
