Bruce Lee

Charismatic Bruce Lee (Nov. 27, 1940 –July 20, 1973) was a Chinese American and Hong Kong actor, martial arts master, philosopher, film director and founder of the Jeet Kune Do. Lee was born in San Francisco, California, but raised in Hong Kong, where he began learning Wing Chun under his master Yip Man in 1954. After going back to the U.S. in 1959, Lee received higher education and began to run martial arts school.
His performance in the TV series The Green Hornet (1966-1967) set him on the road to fame. He was well-known for his roles in the following five films: The Big Boss (1971), Fist of Fury (1972), Way of the Dragon (1972), Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Game of Death (1978). He promoted the development of martial arts and martial arts films worldwide in a revolutionary way. Of all martial arts masters in the world, Lee is the one that has the greatest number of fans: A total of 0.2 billion people were enthralled by this legendary iconic figure.
However, 33-year-old Lee collapsed and died in July 1973 when making the film Game of Death. His untimely death led to a lot of rumors and speculations. In 1993, his 28-year-old son Brandon Lee was accidently shot and killed on the set of The Crow.
