According to a monthly survey by China Index Academy, which tracks changes in home prices in 100 Chinese cities, the average price of residential homes in October is 8,856 yuan (US$1,394) per square meter, down by 0.23 percent from the last month.
Among the 100 cities surveyed, Shenzhen topped the list with the highest home prices at 25,747 yuan (US$4,053) per square meter in October, followed by Shanghai at 23,666 yuan (US$3,725), Beijing at 22,946 yuan (US$3,612).
