Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities in China as well as one of the fastest growing cities in the world, is attracting more and more domestic and foreign elites. As Shenzhen's local economy continues to develop, the game of golf, considered in China to be a rich man's sport, is getting more and more popular.

Despite Shenzhen's smaller size compared to neighboring Guangzhou, the city boasts more than a dozen golf courses, including the largest golf resort in the world.

If you're a golf lover, read on. China.org.cn rates the top ten golf clubs in Shenzhen.

   Shenzhen Airport Golf Club  深圳航港高尔夫球会

Designed by Welsh professional golfer lan Woosnam, the Shenzhen Airport Golf Resort features an 18-hole 72-par championship golf course, with a course length from the back tees at 7,210 yards.

The club chose to outfit its greens with Bermuda Tifdwarf grass, which significantly increases the speed of the putting surface. Water hazards, bunkers, and strong sea breezes attract players who are looking for a challenge.
