What technologies will be most strategic for organizations in 2012? Market research powerhouse Gartner has weighed in with its forecast, presented during the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, with its list of strategic technologies that offer the potential for significant impact in the enterprise in the next three years. That means they may have a high potential for disruption to IT or the business, the need for a big investment, or the potential for a big penalty for those who are late to adopt.

Gartner recommends organizations begin exploratory projects to look at these technologies.
