  Chengdu Motor Show


The Chengdu Motor Show, held every year in September in Sichuan Province's capital Chengdu since 1997, is the top auto show in western China.

World famous brands such as Cadillac SRX Route 66, Mercedes-Benz GL450 Grand and BMW 6 Series Coupé began sales at the 2011 Chengdu Motor Show.

The Toyota Corolla crash test cars debuted at the Chengdu Motor Show in 2010, letting visitors to experience Corolla's safety first-hand in crash tests.

The motor town gains an increasing popularity – leapfrogging the Changchun auto show – due to its huge automobile stockpile.

The Chengdu Motor Show 2012 is set to kick off at Chengdu's new International Convention & Exposition Center on Sep. 1.
