Sun Yat-sen University, also known as Zhongshan University, was founded in 1924 as the National Kwangtung University by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, known as the father of modern China. The university is located in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Province. With an emphasis on interdisciplinary education, the university offers programs in various areas including the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, medical sciences, pharmacology, and management science. The beautiful campus includes a large number of advanced, fully-equipped labs and research bases.
